Photo Shoot!

June 30th, 2009 by admin

After much deliberation, I thought it time I invested in a professional photo shoot which took place yesterday!

Having seen the results (and I hope you will agree with me) I am kicking myself for not having done this sooner!  I decided to go with Nicky Ryan (www.nickyryan.co.uk/blog), who was recommended to me and is well known in the industry for doing great shoots and has done so for many of my colleagues.  Nicky was prompt (in fact arrived before me!) and extremely professional and I found him very easy to work with.  The time went quickly and before I knew it, he had put all shots on a disk for me.  Having spent the evening yesterday looking through these, I have to say I am impressed and would most definitely be going back to Nicky for shoots in future.

The new shots should be appearing on my site at some point today!  Let me know what you think! alex18

The Media and Reality TV

June 17th, 2009 by admin

I feel that it is some time since I last blogged so I therefore feel compelled to write something!

The question is, of course, if I have nothing of interest to say, should I still blog? So, I thought, why not!

Life has been chugging along and I have to say I seem to have consumed too much of the bubbly recently, but hey, we have to enjoy life don’t we? Otherwise, what’s the point!

Of course, I could comment on the usual but I am bored to death with hearing about two main topics in the news of late. One being MP’s expenses and I have commented on that before. The rather disillusioned side of me feels that whatever they do, or don’t do, they will always get away with it, no matter what the public say.

The other topic is the poor Susan Boyle. Now, I am torn here. Torn between feeling sorry for her and not! Poor woman was catapulted into the media at such a fast pace, she clearly did not know what hit her, but on the other hand I am sick to death of reading about her!

The rather cynical side of me though recalls the day she first came on the stage and the looks on not only the judges faces but the audience too. It’s as though they were all ready and prepared to boo the poor woman. How awful is that? Just because you are not blessed with good looks, then why should you not have a stab at things! And then when she sang so well, how they all bowed at her feet and came out with so much sickly bullshit, it churned my stomach.

Unfortunately I did not watch the show that much at all so cannot really comment much more on that one.

On the subject of reality TV, whilst I am no way a great fan of Big Brother (to be honest I would rather watch paint dry}, I have to say that it caught my attention the other  night when the SAS style  guys burst in and ordered the housemates about.  At one point they took the young blonde girl outside and  put a blindfold on her whilst giving  instructions to her.  Before the blindfold went on, I thought I saw a glimmer of excitement on her face and of course it occurred to me that I too have been in such circumstances………… about to blindfolded, a man close by …………Oh yes it brought back very vivid raunchy memories and  was almost a turn on to watch!
